Class Descriptions

*EmpowerStrong:

EmPowerStrong will give you the cardio you need with Fighter Style routines to bad ass music. It will give you the strength you’re wanting with full body strengthening routines using free weights, core balls, weighted gloves, and your own body weight. This class is perfect for Men & Women who want to build strength, endurance and get a stronger core!!!
This class is designed from years of experience losing 150 lbs and learning how to build a long, lean, strong, physique.

*TripleThreatTraining:

Full body strength training, targeting each muscle group in 3 different ways. This Class is a smaller group fitness class with more individualized attention. Thats why this class uses two passes instead of one. 

*DancePOWER: 

 Get your desired results by aerobic dancing mixed with fitness. This will help you burn the most calories while toning your body at the same time. Whether you simply want to lose weight, gain muscle or have a healthier lifestyle—DancePOWER can be tailored to reach your goals. DancePOWER combines high-intensity workouts with upbeat and high energy music. 

*Pound:

Using (only) the official Ripstix®, lightly weighted drumsticks engineered specifically for exercising, POUND® transforms drumming into an incredibly effective way of working out.  Instead of listening to music, you become the music in this exhilarating full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements.  Designed for all fitness levels, POUND® provides the perfect atmosphere for letting loose, getting energized, toning up and rockin’ out! The workout is easily modifiable and the alternative vibe and welcoming philosophy appeals to men and women of all ages and abilities. 

*Ashtanga Yoga:

Offered in the Ganesh Room and uses a separate pass that can be purchased by Diana from Yoga Breathe. The Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a style of yoga codified and popularized by K. Pattabhi Jois during the 20th century which is often promoted as a modern-day form of classical Indian yoga. Ashtanga means eight limbs or branches, of which asana or physical yoga posture is merely one branch, breath or pranayama is another. Both Pattabhi Jois and Sharath Jois, his grandson, encourage practice of Ashtanga Yoga - all eight limbs. The first two limbs - Yamas and Niyamas - are given special emphasis to be practiced in conjunction with the 3rd and 4th limbs (asana and pranayama). 

*BARRE:

Every Barre Fitness class is fun and empowering class set to today's hottest music. Classes begin with a warm up focusing on postural strength and alignment, followed by a series of upper body exercises using light weights. The ballet barre is used to sculpt the lower body, abs and for flexibility.   

*LatinLoveDancePOWER:

Basic Latin moves with some fun hip shaking to many different genre of music. From Selena to Shakira.   

*EmPowerShred:

 Through the use of free weights, body weight, kettlebells, resistance bands, and exercise balls, EmpowerShred is designed to build endurance while strengthening and toning the body.  Arms, chest, back, thighs, gluteal muscles, and core will all receive special attention. 

Cardio will be a part of EmpowerShred, however, not in the traditional sense. We will increase our heart rate through combination movements, the speed of those movements, and the changing of body planes

*Zumba

A Zumba class combines fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body using principles from aerobic and fitness to achieve cardio and muscle-toning benefits.In every Zumba lesson four core rhythms are always present: merengue, salsa, cumbia and reggaeton. Besides, there are other six official rhythms that might be incorporated in the instructor playlist, these are: belly dance, flamenco, tango, samba, soca and quebradita.

*GRL.PWR

Christie & Savanna, The Mother & Daughter duo are BACK!  Teaming up to bring you the ultimate Fighter Style Dance Class mix! Doing interval training of cardio and strength to spike the metabolism. The class will take your heart rate up and down with cardio kickboxing & dancing for 30 minutes. Then we will focus on lean muscle sculpting for 30 minutes. This class is designed to help you build your confidence and get that long & lean physique!
